The Ghirlandina racecourse in Modena becomes the heart of an extraordinary initiative dedicated to the elderly, thanks to the commitment of the Meraki ASD equestrian club, in the person of Rosalba Governatori, with the new project entitled “The city of horses in the heart of the city” which aims to promote social inclusion by involving schools, family homes and RSAs to discover horses.
Starting from Monday 10 March, which saw the participation of the Mingucci Day Centre, in the coming weeks the Modena racecourse will open its doors to welcome the elderly in a natural and stimulating environment. Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to live an outdoor experience in contact with animals, interacting with horses, and taking care of them.
This initiative, totally free, not only wants to support their physical and mental well-being, but also offer them moments of socialization and sharing: the elderly will be able to enjoy snacks offered by the “La Pradella” rotisserie in Modena, in a convivial atmosphere.
This initiative is part of the wide range of services offered by the Ghirlandina racecourse, which is proposed as a versatile event location in Modena, offering rooms to rent for parties and rooms for birthdays, but also meeting rooms and reception rooms. The racecourse thus confirms its role, not only as a reference for equestrian enthusiasts, but also as an inclusive space.
