On 28 June, the Ghirlandina Hippodrome in Modena will host the 2025 edition of the European Union Grand Prix, an evening event that goes beyond racing. An event that intertwines sport, culture, gastronomy and debate, with a unique formula designed for the public, operators in the sector and horse racing enthusiasts.
Trotting of the highest level meets the general public
At 20:30 the track lights up for one of the most prestigious competitions on the European horse racing calendar. The best horses and drivers will compete for the title in an evocative atmosphere, including fanfares, parades and spectacular moments.
The evening will be enriched by the parade of cadets on horseback and the performance of the Fanfare of the Italian Naval Academy, for a show that combines military elegance and sporting adrenaline

Open debate with institutions, operators and political representatives
From 18:00 to 20:00, before the start of the races, the Hippodrome hosts a national conference dedicated to the reform of the horse racing betting system.
Moderated by Alessandro Arletti and Rolando Luzzi, the meeting will see the participation of representatives of the horse racing categories, institutions, concessionaires and parliamentarians, in a constructive discussion on the prospects of the sector
After the opening, drivers, trainers, breeders and owners bring the point of view of those who live horse racing every day.
